SUEP JUST A JOB

Finding it's way to us at the perfect moment, while rain streaks gloomily down the window pane, South London-based supergroup SUEP wallow in malaise on their tongue-in-cheek new track. 'Just A Job' is a sonic representation of a thought process that many of us will have had when we're lying in bed on a winter's morning, wondering what's the worst that could happen if we abandon all our responsibilities and bury ourselves in cozy comfort for eternity. Honing in on the drudgery of full time work, a ticking drum beat mimics a clock, counting down the seconds, minutes and hours in a day. Squelchy synths and jaunty bass soundtrack characterful dual vocals and the odd guitar solo, continuing the band's established lo-fi sound. Serving as the final single from their debut album Shop, following the excellent 'In Good Health' and 'Domesticated Dream', SUEP continue to delight and entertain us here at TMR. Shop will arrive on the 27th of January through Memorials of Distinction. -Holly Mullineaux
